John Sickels loves being a New Mexico licensed Realtor and is passionate about the people he helps in the buying of their dream home and the selling of their existing home in pursuit of their next dream home! But before he became a Realtor, his path in life was quite different yet it prepared him for what was to come.
A resident of Albuquerque since 1984, John has worked and is raising his family in this beautiful “high desert” city. Having a blended family of 6 children has given him experience and insight into “all things Albuquerque and beyond” including education, the arts, local entertainment, culture and his love of the outdoors.
During his life in Albuquerque John has worked as a professional musician, has had 2 successful entrepreneurial business efforts and has served as Director of Communications for one of the largest churches in the state. Additionally, he was the host of a fun, short-lived television show called New Mexico Rides that showcased a broad diversity of transportation like hot rods, 4-wheelers, hot air balloons, low-riders, the National Automotive Association Show and other car clubs and organizations while connecting the New Mexico history that was often associated with each.
When the opportunity arises to take some time away, John likes nothing more than “camping with my family in some of my secrete NM places or doing the same AND 4 wheeling in the beauty of SW Colorado…Durango, Silverton, Ouray…you know, the San Juans”. And as far as music goes, he still loves it as much as he ever did and still plays (drums) and sings at his church and at his former bandmate’s recording sudio here in Albuquerque. “Music will always be a part of my life. I’ve always loved it, always will.”
John’s diverse background, attention to detail and his ability to communicate effectively are some of the reasons he’s a sought after Realtor in the Greater Albuquerque Metro area. According to John, “The relationships that I develop not only with my clients but the other participating Realtor and their clients are key to a successful transaction. The goal is an amicable negotiation of the sale and/or purchase on both sides.” This approach has garnered him respect among his peers and loyalty from his clients. Per John, “My intention with the buyers and sellers that I work with is to create genuine relationships and a simplified Real Estate experience that will leave them with the desire to work with me again and tell their friends and family about the successful experience they had. My goal in life is to have that level of integrity in all my relationships. It’s a big part of what makes my life a happy one!”
